We are now looking for a temporary care assistant for our Addiction Department, an acute care unit within SkaS adult psychiatry.

The department has 16 beds for patients requiring psychiatric inpatient care and dealing with addiction issues. Patients are treated either voluntarily or under the Mental Health Act (LPT). We consider the whole person and strive for each patient to have a smooth journey through care. Care is planned and executed in consultation with the patient, relatives, outpatient care, municipalities, and other partners.

The psychiatric inpatient care is a modern workplace in new, specially adapted facilities that provide security and comfort for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

In the department, we work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, care assistants, doctors, social workers, secretaries, and psychologists, where the care assistant is an incredibly important component. As a care assistant with us, you primarily work with conversations, care, and documentation, but you are also involved in care activities such as sample collection, EKG, bladder scans, and taking measurements. You collaborate with other professionals for effective treatment and discharge of patients.

We will help you get started with an introduction, and you will receive guidance from engaged and competent colleagues. The clinic also offers regular internal training sessions weekly, where all professions within inpatient care contribute to deepening knowledge in psychiatry.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed the nursing program with a focus on psychiatry, and we prefer that you have experience working in psychiatric care. You have a professional approach from a patient and relative perspective and experience collaborating with healthcare neighbors and authorities.

We also expect you to have a genuine interest in working with our target group. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and actively contribute to the development of the organization.
